IRE & UK Alexandre Badri

Racing Consultant, United Kingdom & Ireland

Alexandre’s journey into the world of horse racing began at a young age, driven by a deep passion for the sport. At just fourteen years old, he joined the prestigious Le Moulin à Vent racing school in Chantilly, France, where he honed his skills and earned his conditional jump jockey license. He quickly made a name for himself working with the legendary French trainer François Doumen, one of the most respected names in the industry. This early training laid the foundation for a career that would take him across the globe and into the highest levels of racing.

As Alexandre’s desire for new experiences and challenges grew, so did his ambition to explore different racing cultures. His first international adventure took him to Newmarket in the United Kingdom, where he secured a position with the world-renowned Godolphin stable. There, he worked under trainers Mahmoud Al Zarooni and Charlie Appleby, gaining invaluable insight into the inner workings of one of the most successful racing operations in the world. During his four years at Godolphin, Alexandre’s expertise was further refined as he worked with top-level thoroughbreds, learning from some of the best in the business.

In 2013, Alexandre’s journey took him to Australia, where he was entrusted with managing Godolphin’s Australian string under trainer John O’Shea. His time in Australia saw him split between two iconic tracks: Warwick Farm and Flemington, where he continued to build on his international experience. One of the standout moments of his Australian career was riding a horse owned by Queen Elizabeth II in Dubai, an experience that further solidified his global racing profile.

Alexandre’s association with international campaigns was marked by his involvement with the Group 1-winning filly “One Master”, trained by William Haggas. Alexandre was instrumental in traveling with One Master for her campaigns in the Breeders' Cup Mile at Churchill Downs and the Longines Hong Kong Mile. His most notable achievement with the filly came in 2019, when she won the prestigious Group 1 Prix de la Forêt on Arc Day at Longchamp in Paris. Haggas praised Alexandre’s insight and skills, stating:

"Alex Badri rides her and he is fantastic with her, he knows when she is right and she was spot on today so he was right again."

Such praise from one of the industry's top trainers highlights Alexandre’s natural understanding of a horse’s needs and his intuitive judgment in race riding.

In addition to his riding career, Alexandre’s keen eye for form and strategy led him to start a tipping website, where his sharp analysis and insight earned him recognition as one of the top tipsters in the industry. He has been awarded "Tipster of the Month" three times, further showcasing his deep understanding of the racing game and his ability to spot winners in a highly competitive environment.

With a wealth of experience across multiple continents and racing disciplines, Alexandre’s knowledge and sharp judgment make him an invaluable asset to the Starblue Consultancy team. His expertise, honed through years of riding and managing horses at the highest level, will ensure that clients benefit from a finely tuned eye for quality and potential. Whether it’s identifying the next champion or navigating the complexities of racehorse ownership, Alexandre’s wealth of experience and proven success in the industry will be a key resource for Starblue Consultancy clients.
